Who We Are

Lighthouse Founder, the late Ronald L Drown, relocated to Southwest Florida after a 20 year pastorate in Indiana. During that time he formed a nonprofit independent church corporation, and established a debt-free local church “The Lighthouse Of Jesus Christ” was built… a campus with a word based congregation, sanctuary, fellowship hall, gymnasium and learning facilities.  The teaching focus expanded in the 1980’s as Ron begin to learn Hebrew and God gave him a strong heart for the Jewish people.  The Lighthouse Of Jesus Christ and YAD-EL Ministries now operate from sunny Southwest Florida.

What We Do

Rev. Drown taught (Sephardic) Hebrew in small group and seminar settings. His working knowledge of the Greek New Testament was a valuable help to students of the Bible. The late Robert L Lindsay, Scholar, Founder of “The Jerusalem Perspective,” highly commended Rev. Drown for his translation of “The Gospel of Mark,” from Hebrew to English. Ron’s familiarity with Biblical Hebrew and Jewish traditions relate well to provide rich learning experiences, enhancing the understanding of our Christian roots… enriching Biblical studies.
